In 1962 Robert Raymond (bowser) Lord donated his historic family home, pictured below, to CHS. The Lord property now holds the Eastman Lord House Museum CHS Office and Gift Shop.
Museum hours are Wednesdays from 2-4 PM &Thursdays from 6-8 PM Memorial Day through Labor Day. Appointments may be made anytime between May first and October 31st.
The C.H.S presents a wide variety of well-attended Monthly Programs. Unless otherwise noted programs are held at the Salyards Center for the Arts beginning at 7:00 PM on the second Tuesday of each month. 6:00pm. for pot luck suppers.
The society works closely with area schools, presenting programs in the Eastman Lord House as well as in local classrooms.
